How I Work

A process built around the right question, not the fastest answer.

Every engagement follows the same underlying logic, even when the specifics differ. Here's what to expect.

The Process

    Discovery Call (complimentary)

    We talk. You share what's going on. I listen — and ask the questions most people skip. No agenda except understanding. You'll leave with more clarity than you arrived with, regardless of what comes next.

  • 02.

    Problem Diagnosis

    Before any strategy, I spend time understanding the real problem. That means reviewing whatever data and context you can share, asking hard questions, and identifying where the gap between current reality and desired outcome actually lives. This is where most consulting goes wrong — and where we get it right.

  • 03.

    Strategic Recommendation

    Based on the diagnosis, I present a recommended approach: what I believe the core strategic priority is, why, and how I'd suggest addressing it. This is a conversation, not a presentation — I want your pushback, your context, and your instinct in the room.

  • 04.

    Engagement & Execution

    We scope the work — timelines, deliverables, my role vs your team's role — and begin. I'm hands-on throughout: embedded where it helps, advisory where that's what's needed. Communication is direct and regular.

  • 05.

    Measure, Adjust, Embed

    I don't hand over a document and disappear. We track what's working, adjust what isn't, and make sure the thinking is embedded in your team so it persists after our engagement ends.

I don't write strategy documents and disappear. I work alongside your team — in the meetings, in the data, in the difficult conversations about what's not working and why.

I adapt to what you need. Some clients want a thought partner to pressure-test their thinking. Others need someone to lead a specific workstream while their team focuses elsewhere. Some need both, depending on the week.

What doesn't change: I'll tell you what I actually think. If the brief is pointed at the wrong problem, I'll say so. That's not a comfortable thing to hear — but it's the most valuable service I offer.
